Quick start

Four steps from install to an actionable report.

1

Open SHIPSAFE

Launch the app from Applications on an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later.

2

Choose Folder

Select the project you want to review. SHIPSAFE requests read-only access to that folder.

3

Scan Project

Run the deterministic local scan. AI assistance remains disabled unless you explicitly enable it.

4

Review evidence

Open each finding, inspect its file and line, then export the report when you are ready.

02

Troubleshooting

Fast answers for common first-run issues.

A folder cannot be scanned

Confirm the folder still exists and that you selected it through Choose Folder. Try selecting it again if macOS access changed.

A finding needs more context

Treat every finding as review evidence, not an automatic verdict. Inspect the referenced code before making a release decision.

A scan does not start

Quit and reopen SHIPSAFE, then select the project again. If the issue persists, include your macOS version and SHIPSAFE version in the support message.

Product limitations

SHIPSAFE supports release review; it does not guarantee that software is secure, bug-free, compliant, or accepted by any marketplace. Findings require developer judgment, and the final release decision remains yours.
